KEAM 2025 Eligibility: Are You Ready for the Test?
Wondering if you're eligible for KEAM 2025? Find out the age, education, and important document requirements before applying for the Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam.

Apart from the basic eligibility criteria mentioned, there are a few specific rules that candidates must be aware of before applying for KEAM 2025. For engineering aspirants, the examination is primarily focused on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). However, students who have completed their studies through non-regular modes, such as private candidates or open schools, are required to have a special eligibility certificate from the Director of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala. Furthermore, while the general eligibility is based on academic qualifications, certain categories like NRI, PIO, and foreign nationals may have additional criteria. These candidates may need to provide relevant documents, including a certificate proving their Non-Resident Indian status or foreign nationality. For candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), there are relaxations in both the age limit and the percentage of marks required for eligibility. SC/ST candidates typically have a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit, and their minimum marks requirement can be lower than that for general category students. Additionally, certain quotas may apply depending on the reservation policies in the state.
Therefore, it’s essential for candidates to gather the correct documentation to prove their eligibility under these categories. The application for KEAM 2025 also includes a payment of application fees, which varies based on the candidate’s category (General, SC, ST, etc.). Applicants will need to pay the fee through online banking or e-challan, and ensure that the payment receipt is uploaded correctly.Another significant aspect of KEAM eligibility concerns the candidates’ physical fitness. For courses like medical and dental, candidates must also provide a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner stating that they are medically fit to pursue the program. A medical examination might be required to validate this certificate. Additionally, candidates who have completed their 12th standard from outside Kerala must meet certain requirements to prove that their educational qualifications are equivalent to the Kerala Higher Secondary Education standards. They must apply for an equivalency certificate from the Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education to confirm their eligibility.
