Section-Wise Tips to Ace AP LAWCET: Legal Aptitude, GK & More

The Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) 2025 is scheduled for June 5, 2025, serving as the gateway for admissions into 3-year and 5-year LLB programs across various law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE, the exam will be held in online mode (Computer-Based Test). The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, distributed across three sections: General Knowledge and Mental Ability (30 questions), Current Affairs (30 questions), and Aptitude for the Study of Law (60 questions). Each correct answer awards 1 mark, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.

Preparing for AP LAWCET 2025 becomes far more effective when you approach each section strategically. For Legal Aptitude, focus on basic legal principles, landmark cases, and constitutional knowledge—reading beginner-level legal guides and practicing application-based questions can boost your confidence. In the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section, stay updated with national and international events, especially related to law, politics, and government schemes; reading newspapers and monthly current affairs digests helps here. The Mental Ability section requires consistent practice with puzzles, logical reasoning problems, and basic arithmetic to improve speed and accuracy. Allocate dedicated time for each section, attempt mock tests regularly, and analyze your weak areas to refine your preparation. With a focused, section-wise approach, you can maximize your score and stand out in the AP LAWCET.
