Tripura Santiniketan Medical College (TSMC), established in 2024, has made history by enrolling 47 students from Tripura in its inaugural academic year, earning recognition in the India Book of Records for the highest state-wide admissions in its first year. The institution has also attracted students from 21 states across India, reflecting its growing national appeal.
To celebrate this achievement, TSMC hosted a special event on February 15, attended by dignitaries including Dr. Yash Gautam from the India Book of Records, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, and Bangladesh’s Assistant High Commissioner, Arif Mohammad. A memento and certificate were presented to Professor Dr. Neelratan Majumdar, honoring this milestone.
TSMC President Dr. Malay Pit expressed pride in the recognition, emphasizing the college’s commitment to excellence in medical education and research. District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar lauded the institution’s impact on healthcare and employment in Tripura, assuring continued government support.
