IPMAT Last Minute Preparation Strategy

With just a few days left for IPMAT 2025, last-minute preparation should focus on smart revision, mock test analysis, and confidence-building. Avoid picking up new topics and instead strengthen your grasp on already-covered areas. Prioritize accuracy over speed and revise your formula sheets, vocabulary notes, and key grammar rules. Focus on the pattern of the specific IIM you’re targeting (Indore or Rohtak), as both have slightly different formats and difficulty levels. Use this time to take 2–3 full-length mocks under timed conditions and simulate real exam scenarios to sharpen your time management.

In these final days, divide your time between both sections—Quantitative Ability (QA) and Verbal Ability (VA)—while giving special attention to QA, which tends to be more challenging. For QA, revise key arithmetic and algebra topics, especially percentages, averages, time-speed-distance, and quadratic equations. Solve a few sectional tests daily, and practice mental math to increase speed. In VA, focus on comprehension techniques—read editorials or past RCs and brush up on vocabulary and sentence rearrangement. Review your past mock tests to identify common mistakes and make a short “last-minute revision list” of tricky concepts or frequent errors. On the day before the exam, rest well, avoid heavy studying, and trust your preparation. A calm, composed mindset can often make the difference in an aptitude test like IPMAT.
