With the GATE 2025 results announced on March 19, 2025, and scorecards available for free download until May 31, 2025 , it's time to focus on securing admissions for M.Tech, M.E., or Ph.D. programs. This guide will walk you through the ongoing and upcoming admission processes via COAP and CCMT.

GATE 2025 Scorecard: Download Before May 31

Ensure you download your GATE 2025 scorecard from the official website before May 31, 2025. Post this date, a fee of ₹500 per test paper will be applicable for downloads until December 31, 2025.

COAP 2025: For IIT M.Tech Admissions

The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) serves as a centralized platform for GATE-qualified candidates to view and accept admission offers from participating IITs and IISc.
Please note: COAP does not handle applications—candidates must apply to each institute individually.
• COAP 2025 Registration: Initiated on March 27, 2025, and is currently in progress.
• Offer Rounds: Multiple rounds are scheduled from May to July 2025.

Round 1: May 14 (10:00 AM) to May 16 (06:00 PM)

Round 2: May 20 (10:00 AM) to May 22 (06:00 PM)

Round 3: May 26 (10:00 AM) to May 28 (06:00 PM)

Round 4: June 2 (10:00 AM) to June 4 (06:00 PM)

Round 5: June 8 (10:00 AM) to June 10 (06:00 PM)

Subsequent rounds continue through July 2025 .

Actions During Offer Rounds

In each round, candidates can:

  • Accept & Freeze: Confirm the offer and exit the process.
  • Retain & Wait: Accept the offer but wait for better options in subsequent rounds.
  • Reject & Wait: Decline the offer and wait for other opportunities.

COAP includes all 23 IITs and IISc Bangalore. Ensure you apply separately to each institute before their respective deadlines.

CCMT 2025: For NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs

What is CCMT?

The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan (CCMT) is a common platform that enables GATE-qualified candidates to secure admission into NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutes.

Registration & Counselling Schedule

  • CCMT 2025 Registration: Anticipated to commence in May 2025.
  • Choice Filling & Locking: June 5 to June 26, 2025 .
  • Seat Allotment Rounds:
    • Round 1: June 2025
    • Round 2: June 2025
    • Round 3: July 2025
  • Special Rounds & National Spot Round: Scheduled for July and August 2025.
