Karnataka Plans Rs 40,000 Cr KWIN City as Education Hub
Karnataka plans a Rs 40,000 crore KWIN City, a 5,800-acre education hub near Bengaluru, aiming to house 500,000 people and boost innovation and learning.

Karnataka's Higher Education Minister Dr. M C Sudhakar said Thursday that the state will soon assemble a group of professionals and businesspeople to draft a plan for the Knowledge and Innovation (KWIN) City initiative.
The decision came after a high-level gathering at the Global Investors' Conference, which was chaired by Sudhakar and included representatives from more than 30 reputable universities.
An estimated Rs 40,000 crore will be invested in a top education hub that can house 500,000 people as part of the KWIN City project. Covering 5,800 acres, it is five kilometers from the Bengaluru-Pune Greenfield Expressway and 45 minutes by car from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport.
